Some of the old stories are tried and true—and still useful. Some of the old stories just don’t work any more. The ones that point fingers, declare who’s right and wrong, make harsh judgements—those are starting to look more harmful than helpful.
You either have to undo what you’ve done all the way back to the problem spot—or, you do what feels a bit like surgery/
I can use a lot of words to describe what I do. No matter what I say, it’s still like describing the taste of a peach. You just gotta try it for yourself.
Some days you just gotta play. Make something out of a few simple materials. Maybe with unfamiliar materials and something you’ve never done before.
Nope, it’s not a pretty picture. Put a smoke detector in your garage. I’m assuming you already have one in your home!
It’s not always easy to know if you’ve found the right path, especially at the beginning. It helps to pause. Look around. Listen. Listen to the surroundings. Listen to your gut. Breathe.
I’m beginning to think that no matter how old we grow, we keep on having new opportunities to look at ourselves differently. What parts of ourselves have disappeared? What might we plant to nurture new growth?
Every now and then, I run out of new classes to take in a particular subject. Not because there aren’t more classes out there.
