Catching Glimmers

Dear Reader,
I’ve been listening to Susan Magsamen and Ivy Ross talk about art and neuroscience, specifically something called neuroaesthetics. Guess what y’all! Art matters. Making and experience art and nature are good for us—in so many ways.
The word that really caught my attention is glimmers. Especially as in the opposite of triggers. What if we began to look for glimmers? Glimmers of light, of beauty, of transcendent moments. All around us are glimmers. My mother-in-law might say that “God and Mother Nature do good work.” People also do good work.
Right now is a fine moment to look for glimmers. Notice what that does for your thoughts, emotions, and creativity.
You won’t be surprised that I find so many glimmers in coaching, Feldenkrais and felt-making. You’re invited to join me in those explorations.
Here are a few opportunities:
Our weekly Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson is on Tuesdays and it’s Free/Pay As You Wish.
About three times a year, I’ve been teaching felt-making workshops and Feldenkrais Mini-Retreats at the Jung Center of Houston. More details:
Felting a New Story is Friday afternoon, July 18.
Unlock Your Neck and Shoulders is Friday afternoon, July 25.
If you’d like to work with me privately, you can Book an Appointment or reply to this email and let me know what you’re most curious about.
May you find many beautiful glimmers.
