Emptiness or Spaciousness

Maybe it would be easier to let go, if the imagined result looked more like spaciousness than emptiness.
It’s also a good day to consider what we individually might do to encourage peace. What might we say and do, that could make our world a more peaceful place, where we can find better ways to live together on this earth?
With all the stuff going on in the whole world and in our own little corners of the world, it’s nice to have small delights to make us smile, slow down, breathe a little better, and enjoy.
Nonetheless, I made it around a sort of circuit. My reward at the end was one of my favorite trees—a mimosa. It has delicate pink flowers—and such bold color!
You’d think we’d be used to the flooding here in Texas, and that we’d figure out a better way to manage these downpours. It’s a complicated thing that I can’t begin to understand.
Have you noticed that time seems to go by faster and faster? My mother-in-law used to say, “I wake up on Monday morning, and when I go to bed, it’s Friday night.”
When we face challenges, it’s easy to spot weaknesses. However, if we look at ourselves as a rich and complex system, we can start to identify the inner resources that allow us to stand in our own power.
In the spirit of magical thinking, I blew some air towards the dark cloud, thinking how nice it would be for it to go away. Who knows why it happened, but it did. The cloud dissipated.
Feldenkrais said that the purpose of the skeleton is to make us feel weightless. And sometimes we do get that sense of feeling light and easy, able to move freely in our space. Our bones give us the capacity to lift ourselves up from the ground, in spite of gravity. It’s a wondrous thing.
I never thought of myself as having any sort of attention deficit disorder, but I do like having a variety of projects, books, activities going on.
