Small Delights

Dear Reader,

Sometimes it’s the little things; sometimes it’s the tiny things. I recently bought an Orta Microgreens kit. It’s a cleverly designed, self-watering clay container that’s just perfect for growing micro greens. A few days ago I prepared the soil, scattered some seeds, filled the water reservoir, and left it alone. Now, I have my own mini garden of greens. Such a pleasure. And, here comes that word again—it’s magical.

With all the stuff going on in the whole world and in our own little corners of the world, it’s nice to have small delights to make us smile, slow down, breathe a little better, and enjoy.

Here’s my hope for you: may you find lots of delights, big and small, as you move through your days.

Perhaps one of these events could bring some pleasure, knowledge or delight. I’d love to have you join me in one or more of these explorations.

Our Tuesday online Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson is always Free/Pay as You Wish, and it’s a great opportunity to find delightful new ways to move your own body.

How about playing with a beach ball and wool fibers? Playing with felt always feels magical to me, and one of my students even described it as “miraculous.” Making Space: Felting Around a Ball is an in-person workshop at the Jung Center of Houston. You might be surprised at how little talent it requires to create a fabulous bowl or bag or vessel. The workshop will be on Saturday afternoon, June 22.

On Saturday, June 29, you can have an in-person Feldenkrais experience. In person at the Jung Center of Houston, please join me for Finding Your Footing: a Feldenkrais Mini-retreat.

If you’d like to have your own homegrown microgreens, take a look at Orta Kitchen Garden. (Not a sponsored endorsement; I just really like them.)

And, if you would like to work with me privately, you can Book an Appointment or reply to this email, and we’ll set up a time to connect.

Have all the fun you can!
