Our middle kid gave birth to twins—a boy and a girl—on January 27, 2026. And I’m thinking nothing will ever be the same again.
The more we find ease and grace, the more we let go of unnecessary striving, the more we create a new normal—a new normal that we can come back to again and again.
Apparently, I’m an information gatherer. Surely there’s someone out there, who’s figured this out—who knows the very best way to do it. I better search for that best approach.
We don’t always do all the right things. But, even when we do, bad, painful stuff happens. And good stuff too.
I can feel myself leaning towards spending more time with fellow humans—friends old and new—in real life. And maybe making more stuff.
The longer I’m here on the planet, the more I appreciate that life is what it is. It seems like a good idea to acknowledge the painful parts—to face them as directly as we can. And also to take as much delight as we can in the liveliness of it all.
Whatever you celebrate this time of year, here’s hoping that you have many happy, peaceful moments. May you enjoy community, laughter, and fun.
