All In a Week

Dear Reader,

A lot can happen in a week. I saw some clients; I taught an online class; celebrated a friend’s birthday; unexpectedly saw some old friends—they’re not old, I’ve just known them for a long time; went to a ballet; went to a house concert; saw my grandkids; signed up for yet another workshop; drove a lot; an old friend died—he wasn’t young, but not that old either; did some sewing—and ripping out and restitching…

And I wonder why I don’t have more time to chill out and make stuff.

You might have guessed that I don’t like to be bored. I do like to have time to sit and wonder. To piddle around with a variety of little projects. To talk with folks. To learn new things. To watch the birds from my front porch. To watch my grandkids grow—although I must say that they grow at an alarmingly fast rate.

And here it is Monday again.

And we’re off to the races. Clients; teaching an online class; taking an online class—or two; taking an in-person class—or two; a bit of sewing and knitting; and, oh yeh, construction on our garage rebuild starts tomorrow.

If you’d like to play along, here are some opportunities:

Our Tuesday online Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson is still Free/Pay as You Wish. By the way, it’s gentle, easy movements. You start with lying on your back, do some simple movements and take rests along the way. Participants report that it’s relaxing, helpful, restorative.

About three times a year, I’ve been teaching felt-making workshops and Feldenkrais Mini-Retreats at the Jung Center of Houston. More details:

Felting a New Story is Friday afternoon, July 18.

Unlock Your Neck and Shoulders is Friday afternoon, July 25.

If you’d like to work with me privately, you can Book an Appointment or reply to this email and let me know what you’re most curious about.

Whatever your pace, have all the fun you can!
