Spring Green

Dear Reader
I’ve been walking more lately. It’s a great way to notice many things. The tiny blossoms on the Parsley Hawthorn trees. The film of yellow-green pine pollen dusting just about everything in our world here in The Woodlands. The way my feet feel at the beginning of a walk—and at the end. The way my feet feel depending on how far I’ve walked, or which shoes I’m wearing, and what kind of path I’m walking along.
I’ve also noticed that, for the most part, walking more gives me more energy. And I like that. It’s especially true when the temperature is just right, and there’s not a cloud in the sky.
It’s springtime here in Texas. It’ll probably last another day or two, before it starts to feel like summer. But, for now, it’s beautiful. Hundreds of shades of green are popping up everywhere, and the world seems more full of possibilities.
My friend, Marilyn, has often told me to go for it. Go for that training. Take that trip. Do all the things, while you can. It’s easy enough to think of reasons not to go for it, but I’ve never, ever regretted following her advice.
So, I’m going to keep on going places, keep on looking, keep on being curious. I hope you’re going for it, and finding fun, pleasure and grace along the way.
It’s not too late to sign up for the April Thursday series, Ankles, Knees, and Hips—the deadline is Wednesday, April 6.
Have all the fun you can!
