Plaaay Ball!

Dear Reader,

A few decades ago, on Thanksgiving eve, this person arrived on the planet—much earlier than expected. The early arrival was a bit of a kerfuffle, but at over six feet tall, he clearly outgrew that. Now he’s taking care of business—and finding time for fun. He’d forgotten how much he liked this sport and has been relishing the opportunity to play again.

Watching him play makes me smile. And reminds me to carve out time for “playing with my toys.” I’m not good at playing ball, but I love making stuff, and even my work usually feels like play.

You’d think that during this season of shorter days, we’d be inclined toward being lazy—doing our human version of hibernating. But in our culture, things get really ramped up. It’s easy to get caught up in all the things we think we should do to create the picture perfect holiday season.

When it comes down to it, maybe it’s best to slow it down, do what we love, and connect with the people we love. And enjoy the little things—twinkle lights, moonlight, jingle bells, even finding just the right gift for someone special.

As the year begins to wind down, I wish for you a happy holiday season, and many moments of peace and joy.

Please join me for our weekly, online Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson. It’s a simple way to give your body some attention, to move a bit, relax a bit, and refresh yourself. These lessons are still Free/Pay as You Wish.

If you’d like to work/play with me privately—Feldenkrais, Coaching or Felt-making—you can Book an Appointment or reply to this email and let me know what you’re most interested in.

Look for the sparkles, and have all the fun you can!
