Off to a Slow Start

Dear Reader,

And she’s off. Off to a slow start. The holidays were lovely—good times with family and friends; good food; nice gifts; travel; leisure; change of scenery. And…the transition back to home and the new year has felt slow.

The new year seems like it should be a fresh, quick start. Not so much. I’ve felt really lazy, and now that we’re a whole week into 2024, I’m slowly getting back up to speed. This might be a good time to remind y’all—and me—that January 1 is just another day. January 8 is also just another day. Another day to breathe, move, appreciate. And go at whatever speed feels right in the moment.

While we’re moving into this new year, here are some things you might like to add to your calendar:

Tuesday online Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons resume on January 9. The lessons are still free/pay as you wish.

Let’s play with wool and make some Felt Hearts in person at the Jung Center of Houston, on Saturday afternoon, February 3.

On March 13, from 12 – 1 p.m. (Central Time), I’ll be leading an online lunch and learn, Mini-Moves: Aging with Feldenkrais.

Again, in person, Reaching Out: A Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement Mini-Retreat on Saturday afternoon, March 16.

As usual, if you’d like to work with me privately—Feldenkrais, coaching, or felt making—you can reply to this email or Book an Appointment and we’ll set something up.

Ya know, it really is the start of a whole new year, y’all! Have all the fun you can!
