More Is More

Dear Reader

Lately, I’ve been aiming for less. Less stuff, less weight, less bother. But, I’m also working on more. More movement, more enjoyment, more ease and grace.

Seems like the earth is also moving more, opening up to springtime—more wind, more green, more flowers. It’s a nice time to open up—move a little more, lift our eyes, lift our hearts, connect with ourselves and others.

For me, it’s been a perfect time to start walking more. And walking more puts me in mind of Ankles, Knees and Hips, the major joints that we articulate to propel us forward, backward and sideways. And, of course, they also bring us to those all important resting positions, sitting and lying. They’re part of our complex locomotion system and improving their coordination and alignment makes just about everything a little easier.

So, our April Thursday series is Ankles, Knees and Hips. Registration is now open, and the deadline is April 6.

If you like to make stuff—one of my favorite forms of movement—consider signing up for Magical Felt Vessels at the Jung Center of Houston. This will be a fun, in-person, hands-on opportunity to play.

Perhaps a day late, but happy spring equinox, y’all!
