Happy Pi Day!

Dear Reader

The number for pi—in case you don’t remember from high school math—is abbreviated as 3.14. Thus, today, March 14, is Pi Day. I can’t tell you much more about pi, except that you could go on and on and on, refining the number to be longer and longer and longer after the decimal point, and you’d still never make it complete.

Don’t you think life is like that? We can keep on saying more and more about it, but there’s always a bit more that we can’t quite define or even describe. There’s more detail, more mystery, more wonder. Maybe that’s good news. If we had it all figured out, to the nth degree, it would be much too boring.

Along those lines, I hope you’ll join me in exploring the infinite ways we can refine our movements. And in the process, we can find easier and easier ways to do the things we love to do.

So, here’s what’s coming up:

Tuesdays: Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons, still Free/Pay As You Wish.

Thursdays in April: a four-session series called “Ankles, Knees and Hips.” Registration will open later this week.

Saturday, April 30: an in-person, hands-on class at the Jung Center of Houston, Magical Felt Vessels. I’m so delighted to be teaching this. No talent required, this is such a fun way to play with super fine, beautifully dyed Merino wool fibers. Participants will make at least two felt vessels—with their very own hands!—and a little soap and water.

Let’s have some fun!
