Looking Up

Dear Reader

Ever feel like you need a change in perspective? I’ve been thinking about how we look around us—literally and figuratively. Every day, we look up and down, left and right. How often do we look a little farther? What constrains us from seeing more? Sometimes it’s a build-up of tension in the neck—perhaps too much time looking at screens. Sometimes it’s the limitation of habits—only looking for what we expect to see.

For the Thursday series in March, we’ll explore the idea of relaxing the muscles of the neck. What might be different if it was easier to move our necks from side to side, or up and down? To search the ground for four-leaf clovers, to gaze up at the stars? If we loosen up our necks, could our whole perspective on life change. Maybe yes, maybe no. But surely it would be interesting to investigate the possibility.

Registration for the March Thursday series will open this week. In the meantime, please join me for our Tuesday Free/Pay As You Wish Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lessons.
