A Little More Rain

Dear Reader,
I happened to miss Hurricane Beryl. I missed the rain, the wind, the eye of the storm. So, it was easy and pleasant to enjoy a little more rain this afternoon. I was sitting on my front porch as the sky got a little darker, a breeze came up—it was almost chilly—and the rain started. It started slowly, got a bit heavier and then slowed again to a drizzle.
The air smelled different. The sounds were different—after a short time, the rain even drowned out the sound of rush hour traffic off in the distance.
A nice way to spend part of an afternoon. Sitting and listening.
A nice break from quite a bit of chatter. The chatter in the news and on social media. The chatter in my own head. We all have stuff to deal with, worry about, fuss over. And the rain keeps on raining, and the sun keeps on shining, and the moon keeps on rising.
May you find some quiet moments to listen to the sounds of nature, to let the chatter subside, to listen to your own heartbeat. Perhaps take an extra deep breath.
If you’d like to experience listening to your body in new ways, you can join me for my weekly, online Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson. It’s still Free/Pay as You Wish.
Or perhaps you’d like to work with me individually through Feldenkrais lessons or private coaching. These sessions are an invitation to listen to yourself, to explore what your really want and how to move toward that. You can Book an Appointment or reply to this email. We can start with a free consult or dive right in and schedule a private session. By the way, I also offer private felt-making sessions. These experiences are such a fun way to engage your creativity.
And a reminder: my prices are going up August 1. But, if you’d like—up until July 31—you can book a session or a series of sessions at today’s prices.
Rain or shine, whatever the chatter around you, I wish for you some moments of peace and joy.
