Dear Reader,
Sometimes you need a little spice to add some pep to your day. And sometimes you need delightful clients to add that pep. Today, I had some Indian food—and great clients. What a pleasure to work with folks who are interested, curious and invested in making changes!
Feeling lucky, y’all! it’s not always easy to make changes, and not everyone is ready to consider changing from the inside out. It’s incredible to walk alongside people who discover new things about themselves. The light bulbs turn on, and suddenly, new possibilities emerge.
Two of the biggest influences in my life are men I never met in person. Moshe Feldenkrais and Thomas Leonard each spoke about creating conditions that support leaning and growth. Feldenkrais used attention to movement, and Leonard used “conversations with a bit of wisdom thrown in.” Their personalities and styles were very different, and their ideas and guidance were so congruent. I especially appreciate their focus on respect for humans and their potential. The work they inspired creates conditions for expansion, hope and grace.
Yep, feeling lucky. Thanks for being a part of this journey.
Here are some of the ways we connect—and create those conditions.
Every Tuesday, with rare exceptions, we have our online Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson, and it’s still Free/Pay as You Wish.
In person at the Jung Center of Houston, another Feldenkrais Mini-Retreat: Moving From the Heart, on Saturday afternoon, November 16, 2024.
Also in person at the Jung Center of Houston, Creating a New Cloth: Nuno Felt Technique. This one is always fun, and sometimes surprising.
One more thing: if you’d like to work with me privately, you can Book an Appointment for a Feldenkrais or Coaching session, or for a free consult. You can even set up a time for a private, or semi-private felting session. Or you can simply reply to this email and let me know what’s most interesting to you.
Have all the fun you can!
