Letting It Be

Dear Reader,
I don’t always like how things are. Sometimes, when I’m unhappy with the way things are, I find ways to get busy doing something about it. Even if what I’m doing has nothing to do with what I don’t like. Just being in action makes me feel better. Or maybe it’s just a distraction. Or it gives me the illusion of some amount of control. Illusions can be quite lovely.
Other times, I just gotta let it be. I gotta just sit with it for a while. Not that I like it any better, but I sort of settle into whatever it is and get more peaceful about it.
Maybe the Beatles were right. Let it be.
