Dear Reader,
Happy Hanukkah! As we close out our celebration of Thanksgiving and turn toward Hanukkah, Christmas, and the new year, how beautiful it is to begin with lighting candles. Whether you celebrate any of these holidays or not, the change in seasons invites us to slow down, be still and appreciate small things—a candle, a child’s smile, a star, a special moment to savor.
While there’s no Tuesday class this week, we do start our December Thursday course this week. It’s called Breathing Through the Holidays. I have the idea that if we can slow down, take some moments to simply pay attention to how we breathe, we can breeze through the holidays with more grace and ease. Maybe we can find some of those small, sacred moments to treasure, to help carry us through more difficult times.
