Little Red Surprise

Dear Reader,

Looks like fall is officially here. Hard to tell in this area, given that we still have temperatures in the 90s. But there are occasional indications, even here. For example, this Oxblood Lily. Also called Schoolhouse Lily, because it usually shows up around the time that the school year starts.

It came as a surprise in this particular spot. Years ago, I’d planted some bulbs in a different part of the yard. I noted a bright red among some foliage, and on closer inspection decided it must be a renegade from the original location. Renegade; surprise; mostly delight. Plants are amazing. You never quite know what’s going to show up where.

With the new school year well underway, what sorts of surprises are you finding? I hope they’re mostly delightful.

Here’s what’s on the calendar around here:

Our usual Tuesday midday Feldenrkais Awareness Through Movement lesson is online, and might just lead to surprising discoveries about moving more easily. It’s Free/Pay as You Wish.

Our next in-person group class is a Feldenkrais Mini-retreat at the Jung Center of Houston. It’s on Friday afternoon, October 3. Here’s the link for registration: Breathing Room: A Feldenkrais Mini-retreat

If you’d like to work with me privately—Feldenkrais or coaching or felt-making—you can Book an Appointment for a free Zoom consult, or you can reply to this email and tell me what you’re interested in.

Have all the fun you can!
