Imagine painting with wool and other fibers. Join Lisa Rose and Gika Rector for an all day workshop, exploring the possibilities of creating imagery with fiber.
Join Lisa Rose and Gika Rector in an exploration of the magic that happens with richly dyed merino wool, soapy water, and hands-on manipulation. Loose wool fibers will be transformed into spheres, cording and a small bag. Techniques include two- and three-dimensional felt making, using a resist, creating a “seamless seam,” and shaping the felt.
Have fun making your own felt goods from merino wool in this nuno felting workshop at the Jung Center in Houston, Texas, with fiber artist and teacher Gika Rector.
