DESCRIPTION:Felt journal making is a great way to tap into our creativity. Come learn to combine richly colored wool fibers into a journal cover\, select journal papers\, bind your journal\, and\, of course\, use your new journal to explore fresh ideas and pathways. All materials will be provided\, and all experience levels are welcome. Just bring your curiosity and willingness to play—and perhaps your favorite pen. \nFee\n$115 ($105 Jung Center members) \nAbout the instructors\nLisa Rose is an accomplished fiber artist based in Spring. She began crocheting at her grandmother’s knee at the age of six. With a love for all natural fibers\, she spins\, weaves\, knits\, and felts and creates one-of-a-kind pieces for the body and the home. \nGika Rector has been a fiber artist for more than 20 years. She combines creativity\, her education in psychology\, and her role as a personal coach and Feldenkrais practitioner to facilitate transformation in individuals and organizations.

DESCRIPTION:Imagine painting with wool and other fibers. Join Lisa Rose and Gika Rector for an all day workshop\, exploring the possibilities of creating imagery with fiber. Combining simple embroidery and three basic felting techniques—wet\, nuno and needle—participants will create a small felted landscape\, approximately 8 1/2″ by 11″. \nNo previous experience or talent necessary. We’ll provide all the necessary materials and tools. You bring your curiosity and perhaps a favorite landscape image for inspiration. (We’ll also provide some images and samples to get you started.) \nWe will break for lunch.
